Reverse osmosis drinking water in San Diego. Bottled-quality water, at your tap.
Reverse osmosis forces water through a semi-permeable membrane that rejects dissolved contaminants: dissolved solids, nitrates, heavy metals, PFAS compounds, sodium, and more. The result is water that consistently outperforms bottled water in purity and does it for pennies per gallon rather than dollars. San Diego's imported blend of Colorado River and State Water Project water has a relatively high total dissolved solids count. RO brings that down dramatically. We install under-sink RO systems with dedicated drinking water faucets, and whole-house RO configurations for households that want filtered water at every tap.

What do homeowners ask about Reverse Osmosis?
Does reverse osmosis remove PFAS?
Yes. Reverse osmosis is one of the most effective technologies for PFAS reduction. The EPA established enforceable drinking water limits for several PFAS compounds in 2024, and NSF/ANSI 58 certified RO membranes are rated for PFAS reduction. We specify certified membranes on every RO install.
Does RO remove beneficial minerals?
RO removes most dissolved minerals, including calcium and magnesium. Some people prefer to add a remineralization stage after the membrane that reintroduces trace minerals and slightly raises the pH. We offer this as an add-on. For most households the difference in mineral intake from water versus food is negligible.
How much water does an RO system waste?
Older RO systems discharged two to four gallons of drain water per gallon of purified water. Modern high-efficiency membranes and permeate pumps get that ratio down to approximately one to one or better. We specify efficient configurations and can quantify the drain output for your specific system.
How often do RO filters need replacing?
Pre-filters and post-filters typically need replacement every six to twelve months. The RO membrane lasts two to five years depending on your feed water quality. We set a service schedule at install and offer annual maintenance visits.
Can I connect my RO system to my refrigerator?
Yes. We run a supply line from the RO storage tank to the refrigerator ice maker and water dispenser. This is a common add-on at install and a straightforward retrofit if you already have a system.

They did a free in-home water test before quoting anything, and the numbers were pretty eye-opening for tap water I'd been drinking for years. The whole-house system they installed uses a stainless steel tank, which the other company I called didn't even offer. Everything has been running clean for four months now.
I was hauling 40-pound salt bags every few weeks and it was getting old fast. They explained the salt-free system and how it handles the hardness without adding sodium to the water. No bags, no brine tank, no maintenance headaches, and the scale on my fixtures has not come back.
My daughter has eczema and her skin would flare up badly every winter. A friend mentioned soft water might help, so we had Filter Pros come out. They tested our water first and walked us through exactly what we were dealing with. A few weeks after the softener was in, her flare-ups got noticeably better and her dermatologist was glad to hear we made the change.
